LEIEDAL
Leiedal is an inter-municipal organisation at the service of 13 councils in South West Flanders and regional stakeholders. Through intensive interaction with our associates, partner organisations and authorities, we continuously work at developing this dynamic region, forever aiming to make it an attractive place to do business, work, live and visit. Responding to societal challenges such as demographics, employment, mobility, housing, energy, ecology and entrepreneurship, Leiedal approaches the increasing complexity of assignments integrally, resulting in broad high-quality support.
As a regional developer, Leiedal works closely together with the local councils to their benefit, involving also supralocal authorities, entrepreneurs, knowledge centres, organisations and civilians very intensively in the regional transition. Our collaborations go beyond the regional and national borders. We cooperate on projects within the scope of the Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai Eurometropolis, next to several European projects.
For Leiedal, digital transformation is no longer merely about joint websites. It also entails data, digital tools and fast fibreglass connections. Leiedal collects, updates and processes data and makes them available for many applications, facilitating a data-driven policy in the region. Through 3D planning, among other things, we are using digital spatial information to develop due design strength and power of imagination.
VERA
VERA is the Flemish Brabant support center for e-government. The province established VERA in 2000 as an autonomous provincial company to assist municipalities, public welfare centers (OCMWs), police zones, and intermunicipal associations in the implementation of e-government. We promote cooperation among local governments, thereby enabling economies of scale and knowledge sharing, and provide independent advice. In addition to these free services, we also offer tailored individual support through a cost-sharing formula.
District09
District09 is the digital partner of the City of Ghent (Belgium), which provides a stable, reliable and safe ICT environment for the city, its residents, its visitors, its commuters, its students and its employees. Together with city services, organisations, companies and citizens, we are turning our city into an innovative and digital inclusive technology capital, in which all citizens can seize the opportunities of the digital world.
Kenniscentrum Vlaamse Steden
Kenniscentrum Vlaamse Steden (KCVS) is an interlocal association that promotes collaboration and knowledge exchange among Flemish central cities. The center provides support in various areas such as urban development, sustainability, and digital inclusion, always focussed on capacity building in the cities and within the local administration. We organize workshops, develop databases and tools, and share best practices to assist cities in their policy-making and projects.
